Dear filmmakers,

Teach eager students how to make films!

As a working industry professional, if you have ever wanted to give back
a little in return for all those who have helped you, this may be your
chance. The International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) is
looking for full-time teaching mentors from July 21 (flexible) to March
27 (8 months) or a longer period, to work at our campus in Cebu,
Philippines. In addition to a monthly salary, you will be given
housing, roundtrip economy airfare and local health insurance. The
students are a mix of international from all over the world and
Filipinos. All classes and projects are in English. Prior teaching
experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

We are currently looking for three mentors:
1) Producing
2) Directing
3) Editing

Producing mentor will teach:
* Producing 101 - Producing for the short film
* Producing 201 - Producing the feature film
* Thesis Planning
* Either American Film History, World Film History or an elective
to be determined
* Occasional workshops and independent study classes, as needed

Directing mentor will teach:
* Directing 101 - Basic directing - technical concepts
* Directing 201 - Intermediate directing - working with cast and
crew
* Directing 301 - Advanced directing concepts
* One elective, to be determined
* Occasional workshops and independent study classes, as needed

Editing mentor will teach:
* Editing 101 - Basic editing
* Editing 201 - Advanced editing
* Documentary production
* One elective, to be determined
* Occasional workshops and independent study classes, as needed

Mentors will be responsible for:
* Structure and continuity of the courses taught within the
established curriculum
* Creation of lesson plans, assessments and exams
* Updating the syllabus with a given template; submitting syllabus
and lesson plans by the start of the term and distributing updated
syllabus to students at beginning of class
* Delivering subject content to students
* Out-of-class student consultations, as needed
* Entry of assessments and final grades
* Evaluation and grading of thesis projects
* Integrating classes with those of other mentors
* Attending weekly faculty meetings
* Recommending library materials
* Other administrative and/or supervisory responsibilities
associated with the position
* Maintaining professionalism at all times, on and off campus
